Lay a large sheet of parchment paper, plastic wrap, or a clean kitchen towel on your work surface.

Spread the mashed sweet potatoes into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.

Leave a small border around the edges.


Step 5: Add the Filling

Spread the beef mixture evenly over the sweet potato layer.

Avoid overfilling near the edges to make rolling easier.


Step 6: Roll Carefully

Using the parchment paper or towel as a guide, gently roll the sweet potato layer into a tight log.

Work slowly to maintain an even shape.


Step 7: Transfer and Bake

Place the rolled rocambole seam-side down in a greased baking dish.

If desired, sprinkle extra cheese over the top.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until heated through and lightly golden.
